One glowing review sums it up perfectly: Chantille Chant shared how the “employees are very friendly and the food was exceptional,” highlighting the delicious flounder platter served with tender broccoli and coleslaw. Anthony Goodnight echoed this sentiment, praising the kindness of every employee and the outstanding quality of the food, only noting that the building could benefit from a fresh coat of paint. Another regular, Melinda Toppenberg, recommends the Wednesday special chicken and dumplings—a soulful dish that transports you to Southern Sunday dinners with every spoonful.

Employees are very friendly and the food was exceptional. I got the flounder platter (two large pieces of flounder and broccoli and coleslaw) and it was delicious. I ate the food before thinking about picture.
Delicious fried fish, country fried steak with gravy & onion, mashed potatoes, chicken salad, and dumplings with/chicken. Meal Prices are decent
The food was excellent and loved everything I had to eat. Every employee I encountered was kind, welcoming and answered any questions I had. Not to the fault of anyone but the restaurant was in a run down building and the decor was outdated and overall just needed a fresh paint sprucing up. Very impressed with everything else other than that. Totally recommend.
Best chicken and dumplings I've had in a long time! It's a Wednesday special...don't miss 'em if ya like 'em. Apple side was amazing too!
COVID changed the way people do business. Some closed others adapted. While no longer necessary, this adaption to food bar seems to work well with friendly smiling laughing servers and ample portions for the money. There's plenty of seating inside. With so many fast food and other sit downs having trouble with help being rude, lazy and down right malicious, it is fast becoming very difficult to find good food and service while traveling. This place is a gem and an oasis in a desert of horrible chains. Even Cracker Barrels have suffered. So if you're hungry and possibly in a hurry, stop on by. ....... Me, for lunch I got 2 legs and thighs BBQ falling off the bone chicken, a side of yams, deviled eggs, a dinner roll, a chunk of peach cobbler and a drink all for $10. The chicken joints would have been well over 20 for all that and not even come close to all the options available to mix and match or mash. hehe.
Really good southern food. I like the mashed potatoes and chicken the best. The fried pork chops are delicious and the sweet tea is really really good. All the sides are great. It’s buffet but they serve you so all the food is ready to eat. Only negative is it seems like every time I was to go they’re closed. They’re closed on weekends and close at 7:30 during the week. They closed for the entire week of the 4th but good for them! We will be back many times.

Kind workers, popping place! On a road trip we went to try this place out on a whim and it didn’t disappoint. Great portion food for a great price. Can’t go wrong, it felt like the whole town was buying out the joint, walking out with plates and plates full of food. Would recommend this small business to support.
